Avatar Ragnarok Plotline
For over a thousand years the Four Nations have lived in peace. Throughout the time of harmony, the nations were prosperous and full of cultural wealth. Over time things began to change. New leaders were elected, new reforms were made and conflicts began within and between the nations. The peaceful times are now threatened by imperialism, radical ideas, rebel attacks and suppression, and apathetic neutrality.
The Earth Kingdom has passed a law that forces parents to give up Earth Bender children under the age of seventeen. The Benders are then taken into the custody of the Earth Kingdom’s military. Ba Sing Se, the Earth Kingdom’s capital, was in an uproar for the weeks that followed this decree. The police quelled the riots but an air of oppressive fear now surrounds the whole nation.
Meanwhile, the Water Tribes and the Fire Nation have had tense relations as questions mount about sea boundaries. A recent island rich in gold and iron was found between both nations and traditional territorial lines leave its ownership up for debate. A small skirmish erupted near this location resulting in the destruction of a Water Tribe ship. No fatalities were reported, but both nations called for diplomatic meetings about the boundaries and rights to the island.
The Air Nomads have not helped with the problems throughout the world. The Council of Elders has stated that they would agree to provide a neutral party at the meetings of the Water Tribes and Fire Nation. Furthermore, the Council does not see an issue with the new Earth Kingdom law; as they too take children from their parents to be raised in the temples at a young age. On the contrary, some Air Benders have left for Ba Sing Se in order to help the people in any way possible.
